November 7th:

Quepos really had no problems with the latest rains. No real major flooding or power loss so business is normal here in Quepos Costa Rica.

Well everyone wants to know about Manuel Antonio . well we can report that we live in Manuel Antonio so we know if I can go to and from our own homes and the answer is yes. We did get a lot Of rain and some heavy damage to the main road from Quepos central up the hill to Manuel Antonio. But there are basically 2 roads to Manuel Antiono 1st. main road is a newer road which was built after the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area took off as one of the most visited places in Costa Rica.

So many people don't know about the old road. This has been around since the beginning of it all and is still used daily by locals. The old road is a gravel road but it is maintained by the local municipality and comes out at the entrance to the Hotel California.

The problem area on the main road is just down the road from the entrance so basically you are only bypassing a small part of the new road . There are Speculations and rumors. Lets just wait a little bit and see . We will keep you posted. The town of Quepos and Manuel antiono is buzzing with everyone gearing up for what is predicted to be a great 2011 season.
