Quepos fishing for today's group on the 31 custom got into some nice schools of Tuna. Catching 17 Yellowfin Tuna averaging 30-40 lbs.
Who says you can't spoil yourself and have some great Quepos fishing. We had a large group 10 on the big 60 ft. Custom Cat with the chef on board to cater to the guests. But let's not forget about fishing. 8 Sailfish released and a nice Dorado gave the group a lot of action.
Quepos fishing charter for Don Milbauer was pretty good offshore on the 35 Cabo with 7 Sailfish caught and released made for some great action.
Bite was 30 miles offshore but the Sails showed up late and a few nice Dorado.
Had inshore clients that where pumped when landing a great Snook to finish a half day charter.
Today was a great Quepos fishing charter with our client Bill Choate and his family on there 2 day of a 3 day outing. 15 Sailfish and a Dorado made for a very busy fishing trip.
Bill Choate and his family released 5 Quepos Sailfish on the 31.
Ryan Dellinger and his group had a pretty good Half day inshore on the 25. They released 3 really nice Roosterfish and 1 Corvina.

Jack Plym and his group had a good Quepos fishing day on the 31 custom releasing 4 Sailfish. Clients on the 36 had 8 Sailfish and 2 Dorado.
Fishing raised over 20 fish and released 9 Sails.
The clients released 5 Quepos Sailfish.
The clients on the 33 Dawson had a steller day landing 22 Sailfish made for some fast Quepos fishing action they where beat.

Today the 35 Cabo had 4 sailfish released
Today a family had a great day out on the water on the 31 custom. They raised 10 and landed 7 Sailfish. Not bad for 1st time offshore anglers.
The 32 custom had a nice day releasing 8 sails and everybody was very happy!
Talk about a great fishing day. Doug Simmons on the 28 offshore today had 36 Sailfish. Bet he sleeps like a baby.
Quepos fishing is really on! The 36' released 15 sails and The 31' released 9 Sailfish today.
Robert Hvinden's group today on the big 60 ft. Sport custom had a great day with 8 sails. The group of 14 kept the on board chief very busy.
Quepos fishing was great for the clients on the 31 They had 3 Sails and a very nice Striped Marlin.
The 45 Viking went 11 for 17 Sailfish released and a huge 40 lb Wahoo for the Grill Fishing is Hot!
2 boats out today little rainy start but punched threw and did great. The 31' had 13 Sails and the 36' came in with 12 Sailfish released and 1 Dorado.
A great day on the Quepos fishing waters with clients on the 31 having great luck 13 Sailfish and 2 Mahi Mahi.

Today's fishing report for the group on the 33 was a great day. 14 Sailfish and 1 Dorado.
David Nunnally on the 35 Cabo had a great quepos fishing outing today with 9 Sailfish and 1 Dorado for dinner.
Quepos inshore fishing report today was great for our clients on the 25 center console 3 nice Roosterfish and some Jacks.
The 35 Cabo had a hot Quepos fishing report with 8 Sailfish and a really nice 40 Pound Dorado which gave a great fight.
The fishing is staying pretty hot and the blue water line is moving in. Today had 9 Sailfish and clients said the crew on the 36 where best they ever fish with. In a little early but still the 31 came in with 7 Sails and 2 Dorado.
Great day for clients on the 31, 9 sails a great full day charter.
Quepos fishing is really going song with lots of Sails and Dorado running. Clients on the 31 had 7 Sails and 2 nice Dorado today and were very happy.
The Quepos fishing report for today was great Randy Turner caught 4 Sailfish and landed a very nice 350 lb. Blue Marlin for a fine release.

36' out of Los Suenos Released 2 Sailfish on Fly Hooked 1 Blue Marlin Then some bottom fishing for some Snappers, some Groupers. Total 15 different fish which makes for a nice dinner.
1\2 inshore 1 Snapper and 15 Spanish Mackerel
December 23 1 Rooster fish and then out for 5 Sailfish released.
The 32 Boat released 2 Rooster fish inshore, Then when out and released 4 Sailfish.
Joshua and his group had 8 Sailfish and a nice Dorado for a nice day out on the Quepos fishing waters.
Another great Quepos fishing day out on the water .Today's group had a big catch 19 sailfish released and 3 Mahi Mahi. Are crews are on there game!

Samuel Dowdy on the 32’ released 7 Sailfish and 2 Mahi, Dick and Pat Nolan on their 4th and final day of offshore here this trip invited Jerry Reilly and Ronny Schwenk and Nick Batten out capturing all of the action on film for the Nolans out for lots of action and the Release of 5 Sailfish.
Holly Sirriani and Mike on the 28 released 11 Sailfish and 1 Mahi today. Peter Van Voris and his wife on the 32’ along with Tony Jakacki released 8 Sailfish. Pat and Dick Nolan invited Kenny Bertsch and Jerry out for the day Offshore for a day out at the Furuno as the bite had moved North so most boats headed North This morning. Pat Nolan while at the Furuno hooked into a 80-90 pound Sailfish on a Spinning Reel with 20 lb. Test and on a Bucktail Jig and successfully after 20 minutes and a gentle ease to the boat 3 times released the Sailfish. Also 1 other Sailfish was released and a beautiful 35 lb. Red Snapper.
Pat and Dick Nolan along with Nick Batten went offshore today with a day that was more productive in the spotting of Sea Turtles released 2/4 Sailfish while the reported bite for the Los Suenos last day of Triple Crown reported the bite had definitely moved North.
Bruce Karhu and Jerry on the 33’ with Capt. Kevin released 18 Sailfish and bite is at 15 miles. These are the days I love so much and bring me back to when we were first here in Costa Rica. Nick Perrino fished the 32’ and released 5 Sailfish and 3 Dorado to bring back to Dominical the 45 Viking was flying 10 Sailfish Release flags today

Garrett Merkin, Kate and Sam headed offshore today and with captains all having been pushing out to 45 past Green Water, Captain Kevin was pleased to find a bite at 25. They raised 6 Sailfish, released 3 Sailfish and also had a nice 60 lb. Dorado for Dinner. Inshore clients Gabrielle Perron and his buddy were so happy to have gotten 3 Roosterfish, Baracuda and 6 Jacks.
Parker Platt headed offshore and all the way to 45 miles and released 1 Sailfish. Inshore Tim Henshaw released 2 Roosterfish, Baracuda, Mackeral and Jacks and again so delighted to have that inshore experience with Roosterfish.

Ed Dunklee fishing inshore had a nice Rooster Fish, 2 Snook and a Cubera Snapper, While Freddie, Belinda and Mario Gonzalez released 3 Sailfish offshore and Frederick Regery on the 32 released 1 Marlin and 1 Sailfish.
Charles Kirschbaum on the 32 released 8 Sailfish and had 1 Dorado, Stacey Twissleman which you can check out the video produced for them released 1 Marlin, 7 Sailfish and 2 Dorado(Watch Video). While their friends on the 33’ Dawson released 5 Sailfish and 1 Mahi and clients on our other 33’ Dawson released 7 Sailfish and the 32’ Gamefisher released 8 Sailfish.
Half day inshore clients Chris Huwaldt with Dad and son had 4 Roosterfish, one really nice size, 3 barracuda and 2 Mackeral. Stacy Twissleman also half day inshore had 2 roosterfish and a needlefish. Offshore anglers all had a great day. Bob Findlay 3/4 day released 3 Sailfish and 2 Dorado, Ron from Mymosa on the 33’ released 7 Sailfish and clients on the 33’ Dawson PE released 7 Sailfish and 1 Mahi.
The Perchik Family Jerry and son David and the Asher Family Lee and son Eliah experienced the “Best Fishing Trip Ever”. Visiting Costa Rica for the first time they chose to go offshore for a Full Day. The action never stopped for the boys Releasing 7 Sailfish with a Double Hook up and release of both for the Dads at the end of the day. The rest was all for the Boys, on top of the 7 Sailfish, 1 wahoo, 1 Dorado, 1 Yellowfin Tuna and 6 Black fin Sharks. Clients on the other 33’ Dawson experienced the same but added a Blue Marlin to the report 1 Marlin, 2 Sailfish, 2 Wahoo, 1 Mahi and 1 Yellowfin Tuna. Nice day and lots of Shashimi on Board.
Clients fishing both Inshore and offshore today had a nice well rounded outing the Kohrs fishing offshore Released 7 Sailfish while the Folks inshore Bill Kohr, his wife and children half day inshore had 4 nice size jacks and several Mackeral and then rounded out their day with a trip to the National Park.
Greg Marshik on the 23rd and his family released 9 Sailfish on the 33’ Dawson and had an awesome time, loving the boat and the crew equally.
The Marshiks out on the 43’ Maverick released 16 Sailfish. Ohhhh That’s Fishing here in Costa Rica.
Today on the 33’ Dawson Dan, Jeff, Karen and Farfel in a half day got 5 nice dorado and on the 32’ Swordfish with Capt. Glen also in a half day got 5 Dorado at just 12 miles offshore. Nice day for all.
Caleb Lockyer a fly guide in Alaska and Oregon along with friends Bailey and Greg had a 350-400 lb. Marlin on which ended up breaking the Penn 50 it was hooked on and released himself. They also released 2 Sailfish.
Charles Perkins along with Jason and Trina went out for second day as Jason did not release a Sailfish yet. The day was rewarding with the release of 2 Sailfish and 2 Dorado.
Tom Ray headed out for a shot at a Billfish on the fly as well as Bobby on the 32 same goal shot of a Billfish on the fly. Tough conditions today on the back side of the full Moon. Bobby saw one sail but no bite and Tom had a shot at a Dorado but both need to come back for another day till they meet their goals.

Gerardo released 1 Sailfish.

A Wedding Group of 12 today boarded the 53’ Catamaran for a fun day of offshore fishing raising 3 Sailfish, Hooked 2 and released 1. The caught 8 Dorado between 25-35 lbs. and the chef prepared fresh shashimi on board from yellowfin caught the day before
Patricia and Francis Carnes had planned on their second day to be inshore but when heard about a great Dorado bite offshore, they changed plans like the currents and headed off and were rewarded with 30 Dorado for the day to keep both of them plenty busy and well fed.
Francis and Patricia Carnes spent their first of 2 days fishing here and were lucky enough to raise 2 Blue Marlin! Hooked one who proceeded to do the Marlin Dance so there was plenty of action to be observed prior to him spitting the hook. but what an experience for them. They Released 2 Sailfish and a Dorado. They are fishing inshore tomorrow so stay tuned....

John Mixion on our first Charter out as we roll into our 2014 Charter fishing season released 2 Sailfish and 4 Dorado
This is the month that we generally see quite a bit of rain but surprisingly it has been quite nice and not days and days of rain like we can see. Most of our fleet is getting New Outfits for the Upcoming 2014 Season. Quepos will again play host to the 2014 World Offshore Championship this April 7-10 for the second time for this World event which hosted 63 Countries last year.

Kenny Bertch and his buddies came down for a two week stay and decided to fish 6 days of the time spent here really with the goal of getting a Marlin for his buddy
Marlin was finally yelled out with the last day of fishing and Bucket list complete. "Catch of a Lifetime"
Inshore fishing today with a nice variety of Snappers, 2 Roosterfish and 4 Jacks
2 Sailfish released in the am and then headed to the Furuno for some awesome Bottom Fishing with Nice Grouper and a lot of Amberjacks, We had one nice Cubera Snapper today!! Another Bucket List fish for me
Offshore today with a nice mix of Sailfish and Dorado but really hoping for that Marlin.....
First day out on the water, so pumped to get a Marlin but it was not in the cards for us yet. 4 Sailfish released, 3 Dorado will feed us Dinner tonight and 1 Yellow fin Tuna

Quepos fishing for Frank Fitzgerald who took his 3 daughters offshore today and despite a slow morning. All 3 girls released a Sailfish.
Return client Dan Janssen with his daughter out for the day released 1 Sailfish.
The Kueler family had a full day offshore today and released 1 Sailfish and also had 3 small dorado, 1 for each child.
The Edmunds spent a day inshore today and released 2 nice size Roosterfish.
Quepos fishing report for Anna and Dean Fletcher who spent a half day Inshore after their full day offshore and got a Roosterfish.

David Sanford and his wife after spending the day offshore decided on a half day Inshore looking for the great fight with a Roosterfish.
They got the chance 3 times and 3 Roosterfish were Released.
David Sanford and his wife went offshore for their first day on the 32’ and released 2 Sailfish while Kevin Love on his second day offshore had
3 Yellowfin Tuna and a big snapper.
Kevin Engle with his family spent only a half day Offshore and released 1 of 4 Sailfish raised, while Kevin Love had a nice Yellowfin tuna 45 lbs
which served well for dinner.
Ed Dunklee fished a second day up North in Flamingo and went 3 for 6 on Sailfish and also had some nice grouper bottom fishing.
Ed Dunklee who fishes Costa Rica a few times each year with us in Quepos went further North as he has never fished up there. He was rewarded with the
release of his 3rd Costa Rica Marlin,a Sailfish released and some nice Bull Dorados which he got on a spinning rod.
Chuck Cain on the 33 had a plentiful bite for dinner with 10 Tuna.
Tom Sewall his wife and son and his wife released 3 Sailfish and 6 tuna. A few words from them.
"We just returned from Costa Rica and wanted to send an email to let you know how very much we enjoyed our trip It was our desire to show two of our grown kids and their significant others a fishing trip of a lifetime. Boy, did you exceed our expectations! First, Tom and I visited Costa Rica 15 years ago and spent most of our honeymoon in the Quepos area. We did not fish on that trip. I have longed for Micah Ward, our expert angler son, to experience Costa Rica ever since. Well, he and his wife Amanda made it down with us as well as my daughter Sarah and her fiance Josh. At some point early in the trip I told the crew that Micah had been a deck hand in his youth. They set out to challenge his abilities and hooked a 100# sail that was following the teasers with a left handed reel rigged with 20# test! He grabbed the reel and had the fight of his life with the challenge and the crew kept calling him "Big Boy" as he is 6'4" tall and not left handed. It was a joy to watch him land the fish when the odds were so against him. The crew - all of us were so very proud of him but mostly his wife as she cheered him on and jumped in for the picture which made it that much more precious to me. Well, we landed 6 tuna and released 3 very nice sails. It was a great day and we appreciate Captain Rafa, Kevin and Keller as they performed with the utmost professional efforts. We all marveled at how hard they worked for us and would highly recommend the crew to anyone - anytime"

had a stellar day aboard the thirty two
with the RELEASE of 3 Blue
Marlin.While Ken and Terri
Bertsch on the thirty three released a
Blue Marlin as well which took 2 hours to
get the 350 lb Marlin to the boat and
they also had 2 Mahi Mahi for dinner.
May 30 Ken and Terri
Bertch along with friends Willy and
Johnny.Our first day fishing on our
Moonwalker sport fishing boat. Early
morning we miss one sailfish one and a
half hours of nothing-- then four
sailfish hit four rods at the same time!
What a show watching three of them
jumping and tail-walking behind the boat!
Two of them make it to the boat for
pictures- what a thrill! Two hours of
nothing and then an estimated 400 pound
marlin hits a bait right behind the boat
we lose him in the first jump. He hits
again, we lose him in the first jump
again. Almost an hour later after
catching some small yellow fin tuna and
using them for live bait on three rods
three marlin each more than 300
pounds hit three baits at the
same time! Willy, Kenny and Johnny are
fighting these incredible fish that are
in the air more than they are in the
water! Two of them break the line; Kenny
is still on and lands an estimated
350 pound marlin on his
Dad's 40 year old rod and reel.

in for a release after a 40 minute fight
with the 300 lb. Blue
Marlin, he is crossing off his
Bucket List. And they released 4
Sailfish so a great day of May

tower lots lately for our clients, today
Michele Olquin with Kirsten and the guys
on the thirty three were Hooked
up with Marlin 4 times all Blue
Marlin at thirty two miles. With the
Marlin putting on their famous Dance
across the water the clients were duely
rewarded and they also had 15
Yellowfin Tuna which provided
for Shashimi on Board. The rest of the
group on the 33 went out to 49 and
released 4 Sailfish and 3
Dorado which they were bringing
some to La Cantina for Dinner.

release a Sailfish and then again for Glen

folks fish almost every possible day they
can, such is the case with today's anglers
Curtis Adriance fishing with his wife
Susie. Living in Tampa gives him the
opportunity to get out on the water often
and he releases Sailfish often but not like
the Pacific Sailfish here in Quepos Costa
Rica. Today Curt was in awe as he released
his very first Marlin and it was one of
2 Marlin that they had on
today. They released 2 Sailfish as well and
had 2 Dorado for Dinner.
And just to top it off they had a whale

December 10 Chris and
Yvette Wagner here celebrating their 25th
Wedding Anniversary headed offshore and had
a stellar day. While the remainder of the
fleet were all on the Dorado today, Chris
and Yvette were treated to the release of
5 Sailfish, the First hit
just as the lines went in the water and it
was on from there. With a Little lull at
lunch time for a quick bite and siesta,
then it was back to action with total for
day 5 Sailfish Released and 6
Dorado. Fishing in Quepos is
really picking up for December 2012.
December 7 Anglers the
Jutterstroms from Sweden were delighted to
spend 2 days here in Manuel Antonio and get
to experience the offshore fishing.
Although they did not release and Sails
today they did have some nice Dorado and a
great day out for Father and son.
December 3, Sue and Cole
Foster here in Manuel Antonio from Colorado
have had a spectacular week starting with
some amazing birding here in Costa Rica.
Today they headed offshore aboard the Mad
Marlin and topped off their week with the
Biggest Fish Cole has ever caught and
released. Cole released one big
Sailfish and had a nice Quepos Dorado (Mahi
Mahi) which Memo the 1st mate
filet and all will enjoy for dinner

October 25 With windy
weather even to the North where it is
usually better fishing conditions than the
central Pacific for October, Eric Harris
was determined to go out during his visit
to Tamarindo and ended up going out for a
half day and getting a nice

mix of Costa Rica offshore fishing.
June 20 Catherine Stewart
fished offshore raising 4 sailfish, hooked
3 and released 1 and also had a Mahi Mahi
for dinner. They had a terrific time with
the crew on the 31.
June 19 Colin Creel and
his family headed offshore with their
family of 9 seeking a Tuna bite. That did
not result however they did release 1

and his mom opted for a Half day Inshore
today after fly fishing in the Savegre
River a few days before with his brother.
Fishing on the fly was not all that
productive in the morning so they tried for
a bit with bait and then with artificials
where they had some action with Jacks and
Mackeral to take home.

Costa Rica Fishing Reports May
Costa Rica Sport fishing, with the start of
green season in the pacific coast area of
Costa Rica there is no sign of the fishing
slowing down. Nice Costa Rica Yellowfin
tuna our showing up and large schools of
Dorado and plenty of Sailfish being caught
and released right now. Quepos fishing
seems to get better by the day. Los Suenos
fishing boats in May too are having great
numbers. May and June is a great time to be
fishing in Costa Rica.

having success for his full day Offshore

really nice one tock about 40 minutes to

the 32ft. Custom. They said it was crazy
out there. With the Dorado hitting
everything in site. So its getting back to
normal fishing in Quepos.
May 1 Costa Rica fishing
report for Lincoln Adams returned for his
4th year of Costa Rica Sportfishing with
Quepos Fishing and had a nice day going
5 for 5 releases on Sails.
The bite was there at 35 today raising 27
sails. Lots of lookers ,Its nice to see the
numbers out there. The 32 luhrs had some
nice Quepos bottom fishing action with
clients taking in 7 Costa Rica red

report Well it was a great day out on the
Quepos fishing grounds. Most boats stayed

Quepos sailfish where bitin. Cain Ladner
and Angel Gary with friends who they met on
the plane to Costa Rica and Ironically are
both on leave from the same batillion? In
Afghanistan! Fished on the Mad Marlin today
had 4 Sailfish and had 8
grouper. They lost a Dorado as
well and had a fantastic day. Nicholas and
Stacy Richards on the 32 raised 9
sails and released 1. The 31
released 5 sails and the
33 released 5 sails and 6
grouper. Nice reports today with a
good bite on for Costa Rica offshore
April 16 Quepos fishing
report for Bradley Conviser went offshore
today aboard the Mad Marlin and Released a
300 lb. Marlin. 30 minute
fight, the Costa Rica Marlin released along
side the boat which made the crew very
happy, As he went off to fight another day.

Grouper, thats like winning the
Costa Rica Fishing lottery and the Luhrs

April 15 Dr. Phillip and
Cindy Jones went offshore today aboard the
Mad Marlin and had the release of 1
Sailfish and hit some luck bottom fishing
and ended up with 6 Red
Snapper to take back to their
Honeymoon Villa Light of Dawn where the
staff will be delighted to please their
palates again tonight with Fresh Red
Snapper. Casey Ginder drove down from
Dominical and they fished the Luhrs out
past 50 miles and released 1 Sailfish and
also headed for some bottom fishing with
1 Red Snapper and 1

Results 2012 With the final
results on the Quepos Billfish Cup
determined here in Quepos Costa Rica at
Marina Pez Vela: The Tijareta out of Los
Suenos taking first place with a total of
5 Sails and 2 Marlin. The
Good Day Too also out of Los Suenos took
Second Place and had 6 Sails and 1
Marlin Released. The Frenzy and
Pez Espada both out of Quepos took a
respective 3rd and 4th Place in the
tournament and the Rum Runner 5th with
1 Marlin. Of the 2 day
fishing event with a total of 13 Boats a
total of 44 Sailfish released and 4
April 9 Quepos fishing
report for Bill Larsen and Dave Savage
headed out to the Furuno today for some
bottom fishing as the Sailfish bite has
continued to be out far. They got 3 nice
size Grouper and 35 Rabbits another in the
Grouper Family but smaller. The Billfish
pushed out 67 miles and went 7 for
14 on Sailfish. The 36' Released 1
Sailfish at 42 miles. Our inshore clients
Ben Lin who has fished 2 days decided on
one more day of inshore action. They loved
catching the Roosterfish. So on their Half
day inshore today they had 7 Roosterfish
one of which was a 60 lb. Quepos
Roosterfish. Not bad for a Half
day Of Quepos Inshore Fishing.
April 8 Costa Rica fishing
report - Today Dave Savage and Bill Larsen
had a Full Day of Costa Rica Inshore
Fishing on the Mad Marlin. It is their
first of 3 Days of Costa Rica Fishing. They
had a superb first Day with 7
Roosterfish , 2 Jacks and some
Needlefish. They are scheduled for Offshore
tomorrow which now that the Moon Phase has
passed and the currents are moving we hope
that the phenomenal offshore bite that we
experienced last month returns to us for
the upcoming Quepos Billfish Cup Tournament
being held here at the end of the week. the
42 went 3 for 4 on sails
but 50 miles out.
April 7 Costa Rica fishing
report - Dave Fidler stayed inshore with
his 3 young boys Frank ,Ryan and Ed who
spent the day on the Mad Marlin and got 1
Really Big Rooster that they had to share
it was a real fighter! and 3 Jacks, They
had a lot of fun. Ben Lin on the 32 on a
half day inshore had 3 Roosterfish,
2 Sea Bass, Mackeral and Jacks for
lots of action in the half day and want to
go back for more on Monday.
April 5 Michael Shusterman
and his son Jacob drove in from San Isidro
this morning for some Quepos Fishing
Action. With yesterdays report from
Captains as far out as 55-60 miles with no
action the fleet was pretty decisive this
morning with some Captains heading straight
to the Furuno for Bottom Fishing, and some
opting to start inshore and maybe work
offshore. The bite inshore was definately
in the afternoon keeping Michael and Jacob
on their toes with 14 Mackeral and a Jack.
One Mackeral Michael had was 12 lbs. which
he caught on a spinning reel and thought
that it was just so much fun with the first
Michael Gaining then the fish would take
back all the line and this went back and
forth for a bit and a proven good

March 29 Andy Ginsberg,
his dad and stepson on their last day here
in Costa Rica had a half day Inshore
scheduled which they went out for a couple
of hours in the morning and returned in the
afternoon for hopefully a better bite. They
had some great days Quepos Fishing Inshore
and Offshore this week.
March 28 Casey Meehan here
with a group of 22 for a Costa Rica
Bachelor Party fished inshore today with a
total of 7 anglers. They released 3
nice Roosterfish and decided to
get a Gray Taxidermy Mount of one of the
Roosters. Andy Ginsberg, his Dad and his
stepson opted to stay inshore today and
they were so excited to have another day
with 4 nice Roosterfish.
March 27 Costa Rica
fishing report for Peter Wollenberg his
wife Colleen and their son Nick spent a
half day Inshore tangling with the famed
Quepos Roosterfish. With the release of
4 nice Rooster one of
which was hooked with 2 separate rods after
taking both baits. Dawn and Dan went out
for 1 hour in the afternoon and released
one 45 lb. and one 60 lb.
Roosterfish. Offshore anglers,
Don, Wayne, Alex, Mike and Jason headed
offshore for a 3/4 Day and released
1 Sailfish, and brought 1 nice Red Snapper
and 1 Amberjack back to their
Manuel Antonio Luxury Villa Rental for the
March 26 Costa Rica
fishing report showed Rob Goodbody headed
offshore again today and released 2
Sailfish on the 32' Luhrs again
with a slow bite for many boats. Inshore
clients Andy Ginsberg along with his Dad
and step son spent a half day Inshore and
with lots of bites on Roosterfish released

March 23 Costa Rica
Fishing Report Peter Wollenberg out with
his wife and son headed offshore today on
the 32' had a Marlin on first thing but no
conversion, they raised 3 Sails. Mrs.
Wollenberg caught a 45-50 lb. Bull
Dorado which they planned to bring
to Ronny's Place for a a spectacular Manuel
Antonio Dining experience. Capt. Alvaro had
a 500 lb. Black Marlin on
his 32' and Rafa on the 35' had 3 Sails and
March 22 With much
anticipation today as the fleet departed
Marina Pez Vela for hopefully a good bite.
On the backside of the full moon this month
there was not an awful lot to report for
offshore anglers. The inshore bite stayed
good with some nice sized Roosterfish
releases for anglers here Costa Rica
Inshore Fishing. So off our Captains
headed. Captain Mauricio Solis releases 1
immediately in the am at 25 miles while
Captain Mangera has 3 morning releases at
about 32 miles. The 40 ' Luhrs released 3
today all in the am. Captain Mauricio has a
double hook up just after lunch with the
release of 1 of the Sails for a total of 2
Sails released for Neomy Ponce and her
boyfriend. While still a few boats reported
that they raised a few but no
March 16 Costa Rica
fishing today Michael and Carrie Kalmes
headed offshore today along with 5 other
boats in the fleet with one of the slowest
days this season. Raising 5 Sailfish and no
release which was the same for others out
there today. The 31' did have the luck to
release 2 for their clients and a Dorado.
Rick Fisher on the 38' released his first
Black Marlin ever.
March 15 Clients Thomas
Minehart and his girlfriend drove up from
Dominical for some Costa Rica Inshore
Fishing and brought along his fly rod to
have a Costa Rica Fly Fishing experience.
With no luck on the fly they did get one
giant Roosterfish conventionally 45-50 lbs
to the boat. Offshore boats the 31'
released 1 Sail. the 33' Strike 1 Sail, the
35' Express 2 Sails, the 32' 2 Sails the
36' 1 Sail and the 33' Dawson 2 Sails. Slow
down for offshore after days past.
March 14 A decent day for
Costa Rica Offshore Anglers with the 32'
releasing 5 Sailfish, the

O'Callahan and Heidi Payne were the very
triumphant aboard the 32' Mad Marlin as she
has fished all her life and never got a
shot at a Sailfish and today she released
2 of those beauties. The
33' Strike reports 1 Marlin and 2
Sails, The 32' custom released
4 Sailfish and the Machine
had 3 Sails.
March 1 Costa Rica Fishing
Report for Inshore clients Sean Kelley
spent a half day on the 32' Luhrs and had
lots of Mackerel and 1 Red
Snapper that they planned to grill
for lunch at their Luxury Manuel Antonio
Vacation Villa. They also released
1 Roosterfish, The rest of
the group headed offshore on the 33' Dawson
with immediate action and the release of
1 Sailfish that was it for
the day. The 32' Mad Marlin with clients
Dennis and Donna Derring were just
delighted with first the release of a
Sailfish as soon as the lines were in the
water followed at 11:00 with a Double Hook
up, and Donna's Sailfish weighing in at
around 150 lbs for a total of 3
sailfish released.Yeah Women

Mad Marlin in which they released 5
Sailfish and were really delighted
with the crew. We hope to welcome them back
again next year. Mauricio De Leon and
friend Paul fished on the 31 Bertram and
had the release of 5 Sailfish and
also 3 Dorado which they brought
some home for dinner at Claro Que
Restaurant at Hotel Si Como No. Tonight
they hope to have more fish to bring to El
Gran Escape in Quepos. Drew Miller fished
on the 28 Fly Fishing and raised 4
Sails, Had one on the fly for about 40
seconds and got off but a nice

24 Travis Carlson and his new
bride on the 32 Luhrs Released 2
Sailfish, 1 Dorado for dinner and a Marlin
that broke at the boat. Eric
Richardson and family on the 28' Bertram
released 2 Sailfish and
had a Marlin on. Makaira Indica caught its
namesake today with a 800+ lb.
Black Marlin releasing it along
side the boat after 4 hours letting it
fight another day. Captain Randy released
4 Sailfish. Slow for
several other boats today. Hopefully
tomorrow the bite will turn back on.
