“We just returned from Costa Rica and wanted to send an email to let you know how very much we enjoyed our trip It was our desire to show two of our grown kids and their significant others a fishing trip of a lifetime. Boy, did you exceed our expectations! First, Tom and I visited Costa Rica 15 years ago and spent most of our honeymoon in the Quepos area. We did not fish on that trip. I have longed for Micah Ward, our expert angler son, to experience Costa Rica ever since. Well, he and his wife Amanda made it down with us as well as my daughter Sarah and her fiance Josh. At some point early in the trip I told the crew that Micah had been a deck hand in his youth. They set out to challenge his abilities and hooked a 100# sail that was following the teasers with a left handed reel rigged with 20# test! He grabbed the reel and had the fight of his life with the challenge and the crew kept calling him “Big Boy” as he is 6’4″ tall and not left handed. It was a joy to watch him land the fish when the odds were so against him. The crew – all of us were so very proud of him but mostly his wife as she cheered him on and jumped in for the picture which made it that much more precious to me. Well, we landed 6 tuna and released 3 very nice sails. It was a great day and we appreciate Captain Rafa, Kevin and Keller as they performed with the utmost professional efforts. We all marveled at how hard they worked for us and would highly recommend the crew to anyone – anytime”
