Today was a crazy day of fishing in Quepos! Mike Neilson and his group crushed it with Captain Jesus on the 38’ Luhrs — they raised 14, and landed 9 Sailfish! A great day fishing.
The Yorkmans had their second day out on the Quepos fishing grounds, rounding out their trip with 5 more Sailfish. Nice job guys!
Ed Yorkman and his wife got 2 Sailfish and a nice Big Eye Tuna on the 28’ Bertram. What a Tuna! There have been a lot of our boats catching Tuna lately here in Quepos.
Still a lot of Tuna out there, and everyone seems happy. The 38’ had another great day — 4 Sailfish and 8 Yellowfin Tuna, plus a huge Grouper. That’ll make some fine dining!
Quepos fishing was pretty good today, and the 38’ Luhrs landed not only 4 Sailfish, but also a whole lotta Tuna.
Our guests, Jerry Isles and his party, had three Sails today and then got into Tuna! A whole bunch of footballs… And then, they landed a monster Tuna weighing over 100 lbs. Tuna steaks, anyone?
The 33’ Dawson owner took her out for some offshore fun and had heck of a good outing. 4 nice Sailfish today, 15 to 20 Tuna (!!), and one Mega-Tuna that got away after an hour and a half fighting the giant. Maybe next time!
Our guests on the 31’ Custom had a great day. They saw that the birds were working 20 miles offshore, so something was definitely up in our Quepos fishing waters — a huge school of Tuna! We boated over 20 Yellowfin Tuna, and most were in the 20-40 pound range! Over 300 pounds of Tuna, dressed… That means lots of Tuna steaks tonight, and plenty of sashimi, too!
Here we caught 3 Sails and four Dorado, all over 40 pounds! They’re going to be eating fresh fish for days.
Morick Manhas’ group got a late start to the fishing grounds, but still released 4 Sailfish. Great afternoon of fishing in Quepos.
Today the Quepos fishing gods smiled down on Wayne Hall and company, aboard the 38’ Luhrs. They caught 2 Sailfish, and hooked into a nice Blue Marlin that had to weigh 450 pounds.
Today we had one boat out, the 31’ Custom, with guests Marcus Robinson and Samuel Vandervalk aboard. Our friends managed to catch and release 5 Sailfish, who get to live to fight another day!
Mike Fortune and his family had a fun day out on the 33’. They caught a couple of Sailfish and had a Marlin on the line for quite a while, but lost it, and then got into a few Yellowfin Tuna. Yum!
The group on the 33’ had a nice day with 5 sailfish. No pics, though, as the camera went overboard or something. If there’s no pics, did it really happen? That’s the great thing about fishing – all the tall tales!
Got Tuna? The 33’ gets into them, landing a Sailfish and 4 big Yellowfin Tuna!
Happy New Year from Quepos Fishing to all our guests, past and future!
Hal Croswell and his family land five Sailfish on the 38’ the 5-pack all caught a Sailfish. Great day and a great way to start the year!
